Question: What is the difference between domestic assault and domestic abuse?
Answer: Domestic abuse is a more general category. Several different things can be domestic abuse—a fistfight, for example, or just intimidation. Some sort of assault, domestic assault, actually gets into is someone actually afraid for their safety based on what I’m saying. And that is a crime, that’s much more serious and much more specific than just domestic abuse.
